US-based companies dominate the thematic screen of GlobalData’s IT infrastructure sector scorecard. The top 12 companies in the thematic ranking are all headquartered in the US. The highest-ranked non-US company is Chinese giant Huawei, in 13th place.

Key Highlights

The top three companies on the thematic screen – Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet – have virtually identical scores across the 10 themes. Amazon’s superiority in the Internet of Things and COVID-19 themes (it scores 5 out of 5 for both, whereas Microsoft and Alphabet receive 4 out of 5) gives it a slight edge. Microsoft ranks higher than Alphabet thanks to its score of 5 out of 5 in the edge computing theme.
